Our Sunday ministry to young children features “Godly Play,” a Montessori-style classroom program developed by the Rev. Dr. Jerome Berryman, which introduces children to the church year, the meaning of worship, and stories about Jesus and others from the Bible. The children hear a story told using small figures which hold their attention and enhance their understanding. After hearing the story, the children respond to various "wondering" questions (such as, "I wonder what Jesus is doing there?") After the story, they have a time to respond to it through art projects, more storytelling, or even drama before joining their families in the church to share Holy Communion.
The parish provides year-round spiritual formation activities for adults,
including a weekly adult class called Summit led by the Rector, an annual Lenten Study Series (Richard Foster's Celebration of Discipline),
Centering Prayer workshops, and ongoing Bible study groups for both
men and women. Other special short courses or lectures are also offered
from time to time.
